No more fear!!

The world we live in is in a very painful situation now. The dreadful COVID-19 is spreading like a forest fire all over the world. The countries like US, Russia, China and UK which were called as the powers of this modern world are now groaning for a deliverance from their present condition. Now the same fear has crept into Indians as the cases and deaths are rising. Uncertainty and fear are all around! We are not excluded from this. The fear of this novel pandemic has already seized most of our hearts too… fear of getting affected, fear of pain, fear of losing our loved ones, fear of isolation and above all fear of death. But in the midst of all these fears, you should know that there is hope!!
Have you ever imagined that this world would ever face such a time as this? Most of you would not have. But Bible, the Word of God, has already explained that the end times would be like this.
Also Bible tells that: “All these are but the beginning of the sorrows.”(Matthew 24:8 KJV)
which means what we are facing now is nothing when compared to the things ahead.
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21 KJV)
These verses are quoted here not to bring more fear into your life, but to tell you that there is a hope which can take away the fear in us.
Many of us are afraid; thinking what would happen if we die. But have you ever thought of a judgement day which you have to face, where you will have to stand before the great and righteous Judge, God, who will judge each and every one of us according to the life which we led here? Yes there is a day of judgement. How can we be ready to face that day?? The answer is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God…
God made all of us in his own image, to glorify Him in our life. But we have all sinned and have fallen short of God’s glory. Because of this, we all deserved an eternal punishment. But God, who is compassionate and is rich in mercy, has sent His only Son, Jesus to this world to provide us a way to eternal life.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 ESV).
Therefore eternal life is a free gift to all who will trust in Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus was crucified on the cross for our sins. In love, Jesus paid the price to set us free. Yes, He did His Father’s will and sacrificed Himself to give us eternal life. Not only did He die for us, but also He rose from the dead. He overcame the grave and gained victory over hell and death! And then He was ascended to heaven.
Today, He reigns! He listens to your deepest cries. He loves you so much and He is waiting for you to draw near to Him with a heart of repentance. It all depends on your faith.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 ESV).
In Jesus Christ, you have the everlasting and ever increasing joy… The life with Him is indeed a fearless life, because He is the One who holds the lives of His beloved. And this confidence gives us hope which makes us patient to wait for His coming.
Yes, He’s coming back to take with Him the ones who have lived for Him, who have waited for His coming, to reign there by His side eternally…
