30 days of Praying for you and your husband! Day 4

Day 4

Pray for patience

The wackadoodle buttons

I would like to teach something I learnt that really helped me become patient. There was a time I was the most impatient person one could ever know. Even though I was friendly in nature there were some triggers that brought the impatient monster out of me. Most people advised me to keep quiet and some told me to control my emotions. The more I tried doing those the more I became an unpredictable time bomb ticking to blow off. But God transformed me few years ago and I was able to be patient in many situations when i entered my married life. Even though I failed a few I’m glad that I’m way better that how I was many years back.  To become patient only to your husband is a short-lived solution. To become a complete patient woman is the right solution and that’s what God wants. To become a patient woman inside out we have to find the “Triggers”- not the external but the internal triggers. All the external triggers are penetrating us and switching on some crazy wackadoodle buttons inside us and that’s our trigger. Those wackadoodle buttons are unhealed wounds inside us that can be triggered by feather touch problems.

Let’s pray!

For you

  • Lord, I Pray against pride that’s within me making me impatient when I’m not treated the right way. Teach me to be patient even when I’m not treated well.
  • Lord, I Pray against my existing pain that is still not relieved from within. When situations around me aggravate my pain I lose patience. I pray that you will relieve me from this long term pain so that I enjoy the fullness of peace and joy in my life through patience. I pronounce that I’m healed from all my pain by your stripes in the name of Jesus!
  • Lord, I pray against my ego that makes me impatient and makes me try to prove that I’m right or I’m better. Help me to be patient even when things are going wrong and to have faith in you that you, the Sovereign God will work everything for my family’s good.
  • Lord, I find it so hard to be patient when I’m falsely accused of the mistakes I didn’t do. Teach me what to do in this situation. Teach me whether to talk about it to my husband or to keep quiet about it. Lord! give me the wisdom to do what you want me to do for you are my vindicator! Vindicate me and bring justice to me!
  • Lord, I pray against the physical stress that is making me cranky! Help me to lead a relaxed life! Lord, I pray against all the hormonal imbalances that make me easily irritable. Help me take good care of my health so that I glorify you through my body which is your temple!

For your Husband

  • Lord, I pray that you grant my husband the patience he needs to wait for your time for things to happen for our best benefit. I pray that you remove all the urge to push things to be done very fast.
  • Lord, Help him to strike and balance between being prudent and being patient. Teach him to be prudent in things that needs prudence and immediate actions and Teach him to be patient in things that needs waiting on your promises.
  • Lord, I pray against all the male chauvinism and the ego that is imbibed into him right from he was brought up and that has been influenced by the society. Teach him to be patient when his ego is overtaking the situation. Lord, let the scales fall of from his eyes so that he may see the pain he is causing me because of his ego.
  • Lord, I pray that my husband will be an excellent leader in the house driven by patience and not the rush of the world. Let no unwholesome word spill out of his mouth due to impatience. Grant him the patience to listen well before jumping into conclusions.
  • Lord, I pray that my husband will take decisions only after patiently examining and praying about it. May my husband not run in the pace of the world in changing the life style but be patient and wait for God’s timing to live a peaceful life.

Amen!
