Dear Women in Christ!
God, the third strand in the three stranded knot of marriage, who tied you and your husband into this lovely covenant, has a great deal of involvement in your marriage. As we all know we are here to fight for the marriage and not to fight with our married partner! And we know that we fight on our knees!
Most of the times we are repeatedly praying for everyday issues. We shouldn’t stop that but there is so much more!
Sometimes we don’t pray at all for our marriage. We wait for something to go wrong to turn our hearts to the Lord. And few of us don’t pray as we don’t know where to start. To know what to pray for we should know what’s God’s plan for marriage. We are going to pray in faith according to God’s plan for our married lives. We are going to pray for ourselves and our husbands!
Day 1
Pray for unity
For you:
- Lord help us to work towards one goal. If there is any division in our goals please help us come to wise decisions using healthy discussions.
- Lord touch my tongue so that it speaks polite words that quenches arguments and promotes peace.
- Lord help me prioritize winning the relationship rather than winning the argument. Let me consider failure in an argument as success in my marriage journey.
- Lord, help me to use the words – ‘Sorry’, ‘Please’ and ‘Thanks’ whenever it is crucial.
- Lord I pronounce peace over all the stormy situations of my life. I rebuke all the lies and spirit of division that is working against our marriage.
For your husband:
- Lord, I pronounce Godly peace over my husband and every territory that my husband enters into.
- Lord, I pray that my husband’s ears will be guarded by you. May only Godly counsel penetrate through his ears and May the ungodly counsel be rejected using spiritual discernment.
- Lord, I pray that my husband will focus on the unity of the family and repel every strategy fashioned to break the unity.
- Lord, I pray that my husband should not grow weary in working towards unity. I pronounce strength over my husband when he grows weary.
- Lord, I pray that my husband should be a wise decision maker in making sure the family’s unity is strong.
Amen!
Today’s Promise:
LORD, you will grant us peace; all we have accomplished is really from you.
Isaiah 26:12
